Stuart Karon and Jodi Wenger are parents of a special-needs child in Norwich, Vermont. Stuart owns Spiral Software and has been developing and selling software to manage and visualize data for over 20 years. His flagship program Amion for on-call scheduling is used by hospitals and many thousands of medical providers and residents. Jodi is a pediatrician at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center who works with special-needs kids through hospital clinics and inpatient services.
Stuart and Jodi came up with the idea to build MySchoolDay after attending many IEP meetings and watching how their son's team relied on paper calendars accessible only to each provider. They brought in software developer Neil Odell to plan the project and develop the system.
